Lacey's leg is warm and swollen again... :(
She is totally sound so I still got on and just walked out on the trail (pathway along the river behind our barn) It was our first time going out there by ourselves (third time overall) and she was so good :) even when a flock of pigeons flew right at us! the only thing that scared her was walking back through the automatic gate to get back into the barn!!!! lol
I really cant love my mare anymore than I do

Lacey was interesting today...
She hasnt been ridden since Wednesday but usually that means that she is extra lazy lol Then also it was so hot today (like 105 when I was riding) I really was hoping she would be quite and with the heat didnt want to over do it so didnt lunge her. Yesterday I had a lesson with Lacey and we jumped for the first time (other than a single jump) since she got out here to Cali. We ended up having an hour and a half lesson!! I am so proud on how much Lacey has grown up!!!
I took her to the show on Sunday and she didnt really look at anything and no stops which is progress from the last show! We even took her over to the jumper ring during a warmup and jumped around a little and still nothing fazed her!!! We ended up 5th, 7th, and 8th out of 11 o/f and 5th out of 10 in the under saddle :) Our transitions SUCKED in the u/s so I was extremely happy with 5th!...

Lacey coliced last night :( It was just a slight impaction colic that we caught very early. I checked on her throughout the night and stayed with her most of today. By the time I left the barn today she was totally back to her normal self! I am heading off to LA now for a week :( but have friends checking in on her for me. She really picked a horrible time. The concert last night was amazing!!!!
The Band Perry has such a great stage presence!!! And well Brad Paisley was beyond perfection!!!!! He was up for about 2 hours!! So much country music! He even sang Remind Me with ducking Carrie Underwood!!!! Holy shit i was so happy!
There were any two bad things….1) there was Love & Left there on a side stage beforehand but i missed them D: and a few other up and comers!!! 2)...

My time with Ryan is over and i am now on my way...
Ge really came so far in 3 weeks and has now begun his life as a lesson horse! So far everyone that has ridden him (well like 3 riders lol) i also jumped him a but last week which was fun! When i get back i will post a really cute picture of us jumping 2’6 his third time jumping undersaddle :)
I am on my way to the airport now so I will be back with my girl tomorrow! So tomorrow this...

Ryan was beyond amazing!! I mean he has SOOO much more to learn but for where he is he is doing so well!!! I am just watching the videos and well it felt better than it looked, but all of out tests ended up being in the mid 60s so I was very pleased!!! We even got a few 8s!!!! I didnt even get an…

And I talked Cathy fianlly into upping Ryan’s grain. He has gone from no work to being ridden 5-6 days a week so he is gaining muscle but his ribs are coming out again. Poo pony needs to gain like another 200 or so pounds!
But he is officially shinny soft and perfect for tomorrow!! :) Time to get ready for Devons party and hopefully some sleep too lol

Had my first lesson on Ryan today!
I took a dressage lesson on RyRy this morning and he was so amazing! At the walk and trot at least but hes still learning how to really balance himself at the canter. But seriously walk and trot so good!!! I am planning on showing him in out dressage show next weekend. Cathy wants me to do Training Test 1 and 2, but I would much rather do Into Test 2 and 3 and if those go well than maybe do...
Yesterday...
Well yesterday Ryan was a bit of a turd and it took me over 1/2 and hour to catch him….so I decided it was a long lunge and side reins day! Yeah hopefully he wont be a jerk in the paddock again!! lol He also did trot and canter poles and was definitely tired by the time we were done but was really a good boy when he was working!

he was such a good boy!! I of course started him out on the lunge line and also introduced him to some trot poles. He actually got it really quickly but I set them a little far apart so I moved them closer to make him have to collect himself through them and he got it on his second try!! and after that his trot overall was better!
